HM Land Registry (HMLR)

HM Land Registry is a Non-Ministerial Department sponsored by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. HM Land Registry registers the ownership of and interests in land and property in England and Wales. We keep and maintain the register of title, where over 26 million titles (the evidence of ownership) are documented. We also maintain registers of Land Charges, Agricultural Credits and Local Land Charges.
