Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)

Equality and Human Rights Commission is a Executive NDPB sponsored by Cabinet Office. The EHRC is an executive non-departmental public body, established under the Equality Act 2006. The Commission is the regulatory body responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010. It is also accredited by the United Nations as an “A status” national human rights institution. The EHRC’s duties include reducing inequality, eliminating discrimination, and promoting and protecting human rights.

EHRC operates in Scotland, England and Wales. Their headquarters are located in North West England.
