Human Tissue Authority (HTA)

Human Tissue Authority is a Executive NDPB sponsored by Department of Health and Social Care. We regulate organisations that remove, store and use human tissue and organs for research, medical treatment, post-mortem examination, transplantation, teaching and display in public. We also give approval for organ and bone marrow donations from living people.
